Day 4 Post - Where/When would you go?

If you could travel to the past for one week where would you go and what would you do? Remember to take language into account, you are going as you are.

  1. If I could travel to the past for one week I would go back to 2013 when my family went to Florida to summer. We took a cruise to the bahamas so I would go back on the cruise and hang out. There weren't any language barriers and it was pretty nice, so there wouldn't be much difficulty to survive. There was also a 24 hour buffet, so I would probably just spend time there. It'd be great.

  2. This is Blaire using Loinall's computer.

If I could travel back in time and stay there for a week, I would go to the Caribbean Islands 16 years ago because I can. I can pretend to be a clueless American tourist. Or I would go to 1914 Britain. Language wouldn't be a problem because it's just British English as apposed to American English (not much of a difference...) ;-D

    P.S. High Malcomb!!!

P.P.S. Happy Birthday to me!!! ;-D

  3. If I was going back in time for one week. I would go to Bill Gate's garage and ask him if I could work with him and get paid if I was right. Because i know what he will come up with and I will tell him his future-self's progress.

  4. I would want to go to the American civil war. I would want to go to specifically Gettysburg because it would be great seeing the famous battle and being able to see that first hand. I would also want to go to the past with modern military and be extremly superior in terms of combat.

I would be extremly careful by being prepared with the prober ear so I would not be killed and I would also be seen as the magic war hero with a really large gun and would become a town legend.

  5. If I could go anywhere in the past for a week, I would go to an island in the pacific a few hundred years ago. I'm hoping that the island is not inhabited by anyone so I could be isolated. It would be like a vacation away from the world as it is now. Food and shelter would not be a problem because if I did not bring any items I could live off of the land.

  6. I would go to 18th century Britain when it was the superpower. I would go because it was seen as one of the best times in the history of the entire world. I would also go because I want to appreciate being very rich because I would bring something that would translate to a lot of money.
Also I would get to experience what London was like back when and do all the cool stuff in books. Also I could get expensive wine that was from that time and bury it, then get it back, and after getting it back sell it from more than 10 times the amount.

  7. I would go to the past and meet someone who I really like (Probably a singer or an actor/voice actor or something) and create a friendship with them when they were little or before they became famous. Who doesn't want to be friends with their favorite celebrity or something?
Granted this would be pretty difficult. If you only have a week to try and develop a strong bond with someone, there's no guarantee that it will work, and there's no guarantee that that person will even like you. You kind of have to just do all you can and hope that once you have to leave, the you of that time period can pick up where you left off. Of course, the me of that time period would probably be a lot younger, so in that case I may have to just tell them that I'm time traveling. I would tell them not to tell anyone though. And I probably wouldn't tell them the real reason I was traveling (to befriend them). And then they could find me later in their life.

Or, alternatively, I would go back pretty far and then buy a bunch of old old things, and then bury them somewhere that is undisturbed in my present timeline. Then I could go back and have all of these things that would get me a heck ton of money. :)

  8. I could go back and try to create a paradox. Similarly to before, I am very curious about what truly would happen if I killed my grand father or something. Is the universe self correcting? Or would something terrible happen?

I could probably make a profit off of this as well, good investment, gamble, deposit money and collect interest, or hide something and sell it today as an antique. Of course, there would likely be a better way of going about it with some research.

Either I would go for the money or possible choose something more fun and novel. Something like trying to get in a famous movie. It would be really fun and harmless to brag about how you were in Star Wars or something popular. I could even just go back and shake hands with a famous person, or learn from them. A week would allow for quite a lot of knowledge to be gained.

  9. If I could go to the past for 1 week, I would go to 1981 in Ann Arbor Michigan and bring $2500. I would tell my grandparents to invest a lot in Microsoft and tell them it will pay off. After that, I will fly to Florida and tell my other grandparents to invest in Microsoft. I would then, buy an Apple I and fly to Seattle and go to where my current house will be (it didn't exist yet) and then bury it in a code locked safe with the apple I and write on it "Give to the owner of this house this on June 1, 2017" so when the construction workers find it, they give it to me on that date. When I come back to the present, my grandparents will have lots of money invested in microsoft and I will have an apple I which is worth about $100k today.

  10. If I could spend a week in the past, I would go back to the trip to Australia I took in the summer of 2015. Since I already saw most of the sights, I could see more of the country and not have to pay for another trip in the present. I would want to go bungee jumping off of the Sydney Harbor bridge, see inside the Sydney Opera house, and see more of the Outback where there are kangaroos and koalas.I could also talk to my relatives in the past but I could visit them and let them know what happens in the future.
