Day 1 Post - What would you see?

If you could travel into the future, what would you expect to see ten years from now? A hundred? A thousand? A million?

  1. If I could time travel into the future, I'd expect to see huge improvements in technology. In ten years I think there will be huge advancements in medical science. In a hundred years, I expect there to be artificial intelligence. In a thousand years, people will likely view our current society as extremely barbaric and inferior. In a million years, I don't think that humans would exist anymore. Unless we end up like dinosaurs.

  2. The future is basically unpredictable. There are a few staples that I can comment on and make predictions on, but other than that the future is a mystery, to me especially. In ten years, I think there will be things such as new video games, lots of new media, and new scientific and technological breakthroughs. New buildings may be built, new people will be in power, etc. These are some of the things I can predict about the future.

I cannot, however, predict events. For example, a new war could break out, important things could be discovered or destroyed and the like. It's easier to predict what may be going on in ten years than it is to predict something from one million years. As it is now, I have context, and may be able to predict what could happen in the next decade based on that. I have lived for ten years at least, and have been old enough to remember the last ten years of my life. So I can look at how things changed in that ten year increment, and apply it to the next ten years (with according/time appropriate changes). In a million years though, so much will have happened that it would take ages (figuratively) to explain it all. So in a million years, a thousand years, and maybe even a hundred years, I have no idea what will happen. This is for a lot of reasons, but some of the reason is that I have not lived for a hundred, a thousand, or a million years, and cannot apply previous knowledge to future predictions. Of course, I could always read a history book, but this isn't the same experience as living it yourself.

  3. My view of this question is based on the current condition of the environment and how I think this would impact the world in the future. In ten years from now, I would expect to see drastic changes in the environment. The sea level may increase as global warming becomes more apparent and some species may become extinct if we don't take action in the issue of global warming. A hundred years from now, I would expect to see some changes in the functions of society and there may also be some changes in the government of countries. In a thousand years from now, I would expect to see more changes in society and the continental plates may have changed, making the environment very different than it is today. There also may be new species being discovered and new challenges to face. In a million years, I think that the human race would no longer exist, unless if we have advanced technology in which we are able to survive uninhabitable climates for a long period of time for humans on earth, in which newer species may survive this new climate.

  4. In ten years there will be another world war. World war three will include a war between North America and the rest of the world. It started during Donald Trumps presidency when he declared war on the entirety of South America. The southern countries begged Europe and Asia for supplies which led Trump to believe that they were a threat and declared war on them as well. This sent all of the world into a dictatorship controlled by Kim Jong Un as he claimed himself the overlord because North Korea Emerged as a military superpower.

In a hundred years our overlord Kim Jong Un cryogenically froze himself to control the world in the future. This caused a brief anarchy in the world where various cults were created to overthrow Kim Jong Un with the power of their god Buzz Lightyear. With his power they felt Kim Jong Un did not stand a chance.

When in a thousand years Kim Jong Un thaws he is instantly in a revolutionary war against and army of Buzz Lightyears. His only option was to nuke the world and destroy a majority of the nations (Which he owned).

In a million years the people that survived the Nukes now live in a dystopian society where they are contained in a secluded area so they don't get radiation poisoning. Outside of the area there are mutants that live their own much more peaceful and happy life but the people secluded do not know of them.

  5. In ten years I think Space X will have made it to Mars, maybe a small base but probably the travelers will live in the landing module. Also, I think Holographic tech will be a reality and possibly, a commercial technology. Drones will deliver most small packages, Maglev trains will become more popular, Trump will probably fail in one of his ways to "make America great again", and Tesla motors will advance.

  6. Ten: By then I don't foresee any extreme changes in society. Probably moderate technological advancements. Probably going to see a huge, entirely touchscreen iPhone S12 +++.
Hundred: A somewhat dramatic shift in society will probably be apparent. Either there will be a shift for equality or against. Similarly with all political controversies there will be a deeper divide unless something dramatically unifying happens. I would look for a weaker colony on Mars.
Thousand: By now the colony on Mars would likely have grown in strength, and encircled the planet. The Earth would also probably have begun to fail ecologically. Mars would be the new place for the elite to be and center of scientific innovation. Earth would be more the industrial complex that was continually weakening itself.
Million: By now there would be an all out Worlds War between the big businessmen of Earth and the Scientific elite of Mars. In the end Mars would win with an insane new weapon. Then they would reinvigorate life on Earth and begin it again as a center for life.

  7. If I was to travel ten years into the future, I would not expect to see too many changes. Of course the culture would be different and there would be new advances in technology but the stuff I would see would all be the same. You can travel around the world and there are still things that are decades or maybe even centuries old so there will not be any extreme changes. However, In the next one hundred years, I would expect to see many changes. Everyone's way of living will drastically change as it has done in the past one hundred years. Today's futuristic technologies would be seen as torches as compared to the flashlights of 2117. As for one million years in the future, I have no clue as to what will happen. Maybe humans leave planet Earth or maybe life will seize to exist. Maybe giraffes conquer the world and everyone is forced to do their bidding. The most probable future is one where robots take over the world and enslave humans.

  8. In ten years i think that Trump will have ruined the world in a lot of ways, but other than that it will be pretty similar. I think that Trump will ruin the world because the U.S. has a lot of ties and organizations that are low-key holding the world together, and how he is obviously tied to Russia. Russia=bad.
In a hundred years i think that there will be a lot of pain, death, famine, war, among other things. I think that the earth, cultues, and us as a civilization will start deteriorating. Especially because of how destructive we are, like global warming has already taken drastic effect in only ten years, so it will have maybe become more than 10 fold as bad unless we do anything, and it seems that it is not likely. I feel like in that time there will probably another world war.
I think at 1,000 years humanity will have been wiped out, and almost all living organisms will have to because we will have definatly have launched some sort of nucueler thing. In a million years i think that the earth will have been trying to be rid of all things that were related to us, like building, trash, and other things that we left behind. Also there will be a drastic increase in the wildlife that survived so far and the few thing that have survived.

  9. In 10 years, I think the world obviously still exist. Drones will be more common for delivering packages. Robots for everyday tasks will exist but, they will not be better than humans and will cost thousands of dollars for a high quality one. Agriculture will be almost completely done by bots.

In 100 years, the world's jobs will be almost completely run by bots. Most people will have cybernetic enhancements. We will have transcended the need for violence and most people will be peaceful, there will be no WWIII. Humans will be on Mars for experiments, not to live there.

In 1,000 years, people on earth will be experiencing a mass exctinction from all of the climate change. The Human Population Dropped to only a few billion. Humans resort to small greenhouses on the earth's surface

In 1,000,000 years, humans have evolved into many different species. The "humans " have colonized the solar system and many star systems.

  10. If I could travel ten years into the future, I would expect to see all of my friends and family grown up for obvious reasons. I would also see more weddings happened/ing. I would definitely see, also, a new Iphone (Iphone 10?).

If I traveled one hundred years into the future, I would expect to see more new Iphones. I would also see less and less clothes on teenagers and such. I would see, also, more rebellious teens.

    If I traveled one thousand years into the future, I would expect to see way, way, way more Iphones. I would also see robots have taken control and made slaves of humans. I would see, also, the sun dying more rapidly.;

If I traveled one million years into the future, I would expect to see no earth because the sun is gone. I would also see no solar system because the sun is gone. I would see, also, no sun because it blew up.
